Tie rod ends... same?

Simple question. I have the Ranger 'pop' starting again with my front suspension. Feels like the drivers side when i hit a bump or turn and whatnot. It happened before and it was an outer tie rod. feels the same, but its annoying. Last time it was done under warrarnty, but this time i gotta do it myself. Luckily, a cousin of mine had a Ranger and went through the same thing. He bought two tie rods, but only used one when he did the service.

He gave me the spare tie rod end, but are they the same side to side? Its a Ford piece, if it makes any difference. just bugs me the last one was replaced 20K miles ago, at 36K and now its doing it again. Oh well, its a minor thing and i can do it myself.
