noisy front end

this may have been covered before but couldnt find anything. i have a 04 4x4 5 spd and my front end sounds really "loose" when off roading or on a bumpy road. also when i go over a speed bump and my suspension droops theres a thud noise like parts are hitting or something.

QUESTION>>>
is that life with our trucks being loud in the suspension or are thing wore out? what could i do to "tighten" the front end up?

what is that noise when my suspension droops all the way and can it be addressed to stop it

It almost sounds like your hitting the bump stops but that should not happen unless you REALLY hit a bump! When was the last time your shocks were replaced?

^^^^ it's not when my suspension compresses its when the front tires drop quickly. Like if I hit a wide speed bump and on the back side of the bump when my truck is going up still while my tires nd suspension are dropping.

sounds like the shocks are soaking the compression but not controlling rebound. basically the front end goes back down faster than normal. the shocks are not controlling and making it a smooth return

that could be... i know they are due for replacement. i was thinking its the shock hitting its extension limit cuz its happens more offten since i cranked my tbars.

yes and over extending them will damage the internals. causing the rebound

one of my endlinks snapped because the angles on my LCAs are altered from the cranked tbars. simply take the swabar out, flip it upside down, and bolt it back together and you're good to go. (Courtesy of Toreador4x4)

for the other stuff, check your ball joints.

keeps the mounting location the same but moves the ends closer to the control arm so its not always trying to pull the sway bar off the truck

jack your truck up and use a big bar to try and move the tire up/down. you will feel it if the ball joints are bad. also i would check the rubber bushings in the control arms, i would put money on it that they are shot
