Pics of the coil spacer install

So here are some pics of the install of my coil spacers on my 94 ranger.

here is a pic with just the tire off
Attachment 154841

disconnect the sway bar and take off front shock
Attachment 154842

After some blood and sweat we got the coil off which was a pain in the butt cause the nut was pretty well rusted.
Attachment 154843

This part i would figure would be the most difficult but it was actually really easy and we didn't have any problems at all. Just drop in the spacer and flex the radius arm all the way down and pop the coil on. Didn't even need coil spring compressors which i thought we might need.

Boy those camber bushings are a ***** to get out. Here's my buddy Ross trying to get the ring off.

And then do the same thing to the other side and let er down slowly. Also this is proof that alignment is pretty well needed.

I hope this can help anyone else who tries to do this or hell maybe the pics will make someone happy.

thanks. Lookin to do this soon

rangercrazy07 05-26-2009 11:42 PM

did you have to get new shocks for the coil spacers?

94beater 05-26-2009 11:44 PM

yea i got new shocks cause if i didn't they would probably be dead in about a year or so. Plus the front shocks were completely dead anyways.

rangercrazy07 05-26-2009 11:47 PM

nice, i had considered doing it but i put edelbrock ias shocks on not too long ago

Did you HAVE to use the stud extender.. or was there enough therad on the main bolt to spin the nut on..?

yea you have to use the stud extender. Once you put on the spacer it will just about cover the original stud completely.

Nah, you 03 should have a different setup. he is running TTB which went under the front rangers up to 1997.
