i take my **** all the time but what i do is pretty easy.......like what James said just make sure you dont do anything stupid and take it up something that you shouldnt and u will be fine.....or if u want to drop some money get a limited slip or locker and ull be good and make sure u have good tires for what u will be doing those are the most important IMO

Theres no real benefit other then to have some fun and get it dirty. I take mine every once in a while, just no your limits and have someone there that can pull you out.

Are you an Edge or 4x2 XLT type? If it's at the stock XLT height, you have a bit more clearance problems.

You need to get front and back tow hooks, have a sense of humor, and friends who never tire of having to pull you out. I wheeled mine 4x2 for years in various stages from stock to lifted on 35" tires with a locker and I had a lot of fun.

I'm blessed with a fairly tolerant crew of wheeling buddies, and I carry tow straps and have a front winch so I was good.

But you will have to take crap from folks from time to time -- like I say, if you can't laught it off don't go out!

If your into the desert sports, there's actually more of a weight advantage to 2wd trucks over 4wd trucks. But I'm guessing you're into the slower trail stuff... which is cool too, just takes more patience.

Another guy on here Enraged Hunter hes a 4x2 and he comes with us on all the meet. We have no porblem with pullin him out.....as long as u have fun it doesn't matter. But hes been lookin into front tow hooks, and a limit slip also.

heck i have a stock 2wd or 1wd rather xlt and i love to offroad, you just have to watch ground clearance and make sure you have someone to help if ya get stuck. Most who wheel with 4wd don't engage it unless they have to, so as i see it we are all equal
