ranger shocks

hi i have a 97 2wd that i am putting a 3" lift in ( approx 2.5 - 3") and while it's apart i would like to replace the front shocks( orig and trashed) w/ such small lift should i just buy stock replacements or go w/ something a hair longer maybe 4wd shock , looking for cheap replacement type any suggestions thanks in advance!

Depends on the type of lift. Body lift would be stock shocks since the travel hasn't changed at all. Suspension lift you'd want something a bit longer. Probably just need to find out travel specs on different shock lengths and order by part number.
