RCD 5" lift, good price?

well i stopped by michigan off-road center to see about a lift and the rcd would only cost me a little bit more than the super lift

rcd 5"installed- $3688.00

superlift 4" installed $3370.00

obviously i would go with the rcd, but my question is

does that sound like a fair price for the entire kit plus install?

and i can also get a discount on my rims and tires if i get them when i get the lift, so it would be about $4700.00 for the lift, 15's, 33x1250's and everything installed

So that RCD install price includes all the extra parts you will need? Rotors, driveshaft,I would see about getting a welder to weld a gusset on that side diff bracket also.

driveshaft isnt included, they can weld the diff bracket

EDIT: drive shaft does come with the supperlift kit, but i would have to buy it with the rcd

The driveshaft is sold separate with either lift, yes you will need to either buy the SL driveshaft or have yours CVed. The RCD lift you have to get smaller rotors and they are notorious for breaking the side diff bracket when offroading,a gusset will tke care of that.

the drive shaft is included in the price on the superlift kit,

i will be going back up there to get the actual price on the superlift, it was a estimate

the rcd is the actual price otd

so i guess im not getting that great of a deal on the rcd kit

Don't get me wrong....the RCD is great lift, expensive but you get what you pay for. I rode in a ranger with a RCD lift and it rode better than mine factory. Due to all the extra parts you had to buy and the price I went with the SL.

well the cost isnt a issue, i just dont wanna get screwed over on the price

i just called the guy

superlift sounds like the best deal but i would like the extra height from the rcd, but i guess thats nothing a 1" bl couldnt fix

superlift has the 4" kit, install, driveshaft, alignment, aal (but i may switch to the deavers), and about $2900 is the only price he can give me until tommowrow when he figures everything and can give me a actual price

for the rcd kit he said, they have never had to change to brakes

K. Blakeley, have you have any problems with your superlift? anything i should know about off-roading with it?

also do you have any pictures of it with out the bl?

I have had ZERO problems with mine and have also offroaded hard at times. I dont have any pics without the 3in BL cause that was the first mod I did when I got the truck.

well i may just go with the superlift, 1" bl, 33x1250-15's, M/T classic ii's, deavers,

what backspacing do i need on the rims?

EDIT: can you still crank the t-bars with the SL?

If you are buying 15x8's then get the 3 5/16 BS.
If you are buying 15x10's then get the 3 5/8 BS.

Yes you can still crank the T-bars on a superlift. Its going to be a rough ride though!

You can still crank the t-bars..but me I would use the body lift to get as much lift as you want...keep them bars down for a smoother ride...but thats just me..I hate having my bars cranked because it rides so so rough..you could always just crank them a little though. The superlift looks like a great lift..thats what Im going with..as far as backspacing I think everyone is saying between 3.75-4.5. With that much lift and only 33s I dont think you will have ANY prob. with rubbing.

if i get rims they will be 15x10 is why i asked about backspacing, wasnt sure how big of a difference it would make with 10" wide rims

Those pics I posted of my truck was with the full lift and t-bars cranked to level with back...about 3 months later I took the aals out and de-cranked my t-bars level with the rear. Lowered the truck 1 3/4in but it rides better and the CV shaft are strait. Heres some pics I took on how the trucks sits now....

The CV shaft angle before..

After I de-cranked the t-bars..

Striate and true now.
