Rear Sway Bar

where is a good site to look and buy a sway bar kit for the rear of a 2WD Ranger?

any good or a waste of $$

i just took my rear sway bar off.....can't tell a difference in how it handles or drives.......but i guess handling isn't an issue with how tall my truck is

on my ranger, i could stand in the bed and shake the CRAP out of it

after installing a Bronco II 1inch sway bar, it cut alot of the shaking out

Doesn't your Ranger already have a rear sway bar, or are you looking for a more beefy one?

Hillbank has one kit left from the Roush T-bolts
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-...mZ290092457573

They have jacked up the shipping, but at $85 it's still a bargain. Think I paid $90 for mine.

Install instructions are here : http://george-novak.com/swaybars.html

I know I have one in the front but not the rear, are they hard to install? Is it worth it?

isn't hard to install.....there is only total 8 bolts....1 per end link into the frame (which the holes should already be there for it), 1 per endlink to the swaybar, 4 bolts hold the sway bar on the axle...

No, not really that hard

Yes, the rear tires will grip better in corners, and rear-end hop will be reduced.

Would not having a sway bar be why its so easy to shake the backend of my truck back and forth?

Yes, it's also why the rear end dances about on bumpy roads. Basically, the rear swar bar ties the axle to the frame. It only alows movement in a certain direction along a limited arc.

Because yours is a regular cab Edge.

On newer Rangers, the only models that have the rear sway bar are regular cabs with torsion bar suspension. So, that includes regular cab 4x4, Sport/Edge and Trailhead.

I'm trying to find a rear sway bar and it's like some magical unicorn... honestly. I can't find them anywhere...lol

I want to install one. My front one is huge. I don't know why they didn't put one on the rear.
