Removed the Chevy spring swap today...
Hmmm, ranger lift springs are a lot more expensive, but it's really the decision of weather you want to take the risk or not.
I want it for the payload and such, but I really hate blocks.

i got mine for payload as well. but i plan to hack off the rear part of my frame and build a new one out of 3x2 square tube, fuel cell and maybe coils (depends on if i tow much with my truck as is now). my rear frame is just hosed.

The dimension from the front pivot to the center bolt on the stock Chevy springs is almost 7" longer than the Ranger. When you move the Ranger mount forward to reuse the two existing frame holes, that is around 6". The net effect is that the Chevy springs move the axle back roughly 3/4". The tires were noticeably closer to the rear of the flare than the front on my Styleside. Repositiong the bed couldn't come close to making up the difference.
On blocks my center is offset heavily. Unless my geometry is wrong a Chevy 64" leaf swap should get my rear solid again eliminate the blocks with a leaf or two from other Chevy's around yard if nesesary. I'm finishing and correcting a early 00's Chevy skyjacker 8" kit of course somehow on my ranger
