Any Pro-Comp shock recommendations?
I need something budget friendly, and something better than stock right now. So I'm looking at basic Pro-Comp shocks that go from $30-$40ea. I know they're probably not as great as Bilsteins and the fancy stuff. But I just need a middle of the road shock that'll get the job done. At 60k, I'm basically replacing the shocks and upgrading for a little off-road performance. On-road/ride doesn't really bother me.
Procomp ES1000 Series $29.99
The ES1000 performance series shock absorber is designed to replace the factory shock and provides optimum performance enhancing driving comfort and vehicle control. To provide a superior seal for the S-924 high temperature shock fluid, a multi-lip, spring tensioned rod seal is used. The ES1000 includes a black poly-vinyl boot engineered to shield the large 5/8” chrome hardened piston rod from the elements, which in turn prolongs the life of the shock. Utilizing a 1 3/8” nylon banded full displacement piston head and double welded shock mounts, the ES1000 assures strength and long lasting durability for even the most demanding of driving conditions.

I had es3000s all around for a long time. The front wasn't bad but the rear was super stiff. Bone jarring stiff, I hated them. I upgraded to the Rancho9000x and they were a much better shock, got tire of those, upgraded to Bilstien 5150s which were super nice shocks. But then I clocked my rear shock tabs and they were too long so I'm back to stock shocks with deavers and the ride couldn't be better.
I would get bilstien over procomps though....
