BL Install

It would be just fine for me to walk in, and say "I have a 99 ranger 2wd, I need a bl and it to be installed. How long do I have to wait?". Because the last thing I want is to buy online and find out I got the wrong bl. The truck sites out there are not very discriptive about what models they are for.

Me, FordGuy302, and another buddy did his. If you follow the instructions it is pretty straight forward. We had never done a BL before.
Somethings to look out for...Have plenty of people to help you, invest in a portable torch to heat up the body bolts, and have plenty of time. Biggest thing is the torch.

Its your call, i did my lift myself and had a heck of a time. But there are alot of other felllas on this forum who had no trouble at all. But if ya decide to do it yourself make sure you have all the right tools. I ended up buying all these tools to do mine haha! Early christmas presents i said!

I had never done one, and it took me 8 hours by myself with only 1 other person to help me lift my bed up. Also, if you don't have an impact that's fine. I did mine with a 2 foot 1/2" breaker bar and some big vice-grips to hold the bushings. It's completely possible for a few guys who have never done one to get it done. Just make sure to go step by step to make sure you didn't forget anything.

Pros - You know (or hope?) it's done right and you have someone to yell at when it breaks. Also you don't have to get cold, bruised, or do any work.
Cons - More expensive, you learn nothing about your truck (that's the best part for us non-savvy bunch... you will learn a lot), and the endless hasselling you will get either to your face, behind your back, or both. Also since you didn't do any of the lift if anything was done wrong you will not know how to fix it in your own driveway.
