Shocks

First time Ranger owner, I just purchased a 2000 XLT 4x4 flareside I want to upgrade the shocks to something better than original. I don't plan on lifting the truck. Any suggestions.
thanks.

I just installed a set of Bilstein 4600's on my 01 XLT 4x4. I got them from tire rack. Real nice road ride now. Not sure about off road.
I will bet though, that you can spend less money then the Bilsteins and still improve your ride a lot.

There are many options.
you'll find almost no one who will complain about the bilsteins. They're about 300-325 a set. I just ordered mine from rock auto.

Rancho rs shocks get mixed reviews but more good than not. They're about $210 a set.

Beyond that you'll find kyb, Monroe, and the likes they'll ride like basic, part ststo shocks
