Would I notice any change for better or worse by changing the shocks in the rear of my truck?

 

Depends on the shocks, whether you want comfortable on-road driving or ones for better off-road driving. Good on-road shocks will be bad off-road, and vice versa with off-road shocks. It just depends on what you drive on.

 

What does a nice set of off-road shocks cost?

 

You can get Rancho RSX's for about $55 apiece

 

And they will be a little smoother offroad

 

but I've heard those are uber rough on the road. Could look at some bilstien 5100 or 5125s or 5150s

 

I recommend Bilstein's, they are the best quality and finest engineering for the money. It takes a lot to destroy one, they just keep going.

You could get a set of pro comp es3000's for $33 a piece. I had em on my truck. They are alil rough but good. Imo

 

what are the measurements for stock shocks (extended/compressed) and what size shocks would be needed for a 3" spindle lift in the front and 2" deavers in the back with a set of shackles??

 

I assume the 5100's, etc are for lifted trucks? Are the only Bilsteins available for stock height trucks the BES 2794 & 2795?

 

5100's start at the length equivalent to a 3" lift on Rangers. You can get shorter Bilsteins, they just will be OEM's, which besides the nickel plated finish and some other minor things are the same as the 5100's.

 

I;ve actually been considering a dual coilover setup in the front, So what kind of coilovers would you recommend with a 6" lift...

OUCH! Kings are mucho expensive, like 300 a piece... What diameter would I need for just a single coilover setup?? 2.5"??
