Side step bars install..............

Bought a pair of OE step bars for my 03 Ranger ....(craigslist used)

Started to install by loosening the front cab mount.

Looks like that bolt has to come all the way out?..........I guess the back cab mount needs to be backed off enough to raise the cab off the frame slightly?

Do we need to know anything else?

those should mount to the body, nothing to do with cab mounts.

Are you speaking from experience or just guessing?

The back end bolts to the inside of the rocker panel box but front looks to mount in between body mount & floor...

Definitely post up some pics when you get a chance... sounds like they may be for a different truck.

Yep as others have said they mount entirely to the body. take some pics and we can shed a little more light on the situation.
