SL Question.

There should be a Q&A thread somewhere on the forum! Anyways, here's the deal:

I've got a set of 34in. tires sitting in my Garage. (I realize that this'll take a new set or rims, but I'm just going to to go the Junkyard and yoink some off of an Explorer. That'd work, wouldn't it?)

I want to life my truck 3'' via suspension and possibly another two by doing a BL.

First question, will the 34s fit? if I put that 5'' lift?

Secondly, what type of lift should I do? I was thinkin' of just going for "looks" at first and putting a 3' lift spindle on along with a set of ProComp shocks while I was at it. Would this do until I got the finances to lift it other way?

I'm also going to be getting prerunner fender flares for my Ranger, as well.

So.. yay or nay? Am I on the right track?

Well, in your sig it says you have a 2 wheel drive truck. If that is the truck you are working on I would reccomend to get a spindle lift and body lift. That will give you about 6". You can also add coil spacers and/or a-arms for the complete 5.5" suspension lift, then get the body lfit for a total of 8.5" of lift.

You will clear those 34's with plenty of room to spare on the 5.5" suspension and 3" body lift.

I could fit 36's as of right now.

dont forget he is an XLT so he isnt even as high as an edge right now. he will need most o that 5.5 and the 3" BL to fit those 34s

also it would be in your interest to just get new wheels. if you cant afford it yet wait it out and save.

So... 3in Spindles, Shocks, BL and I should be set as far as clearance? I guess I'm lookin' for a "Mean Prerunner Stance" as far as everyone puts it. Would that do it? I'm also trying to find someone in the area to make me a prerunner style bumper/skid plate/etc.

As far as the 34s, I might ditch them and get some 33s that'd fit my wheels, or just pick up some different ones.
