Icon5 SPacers or Not?

Hey guys i was wondering what you thought about the topic of wheel spacers?
I was thinking of getting a 1.5'' spacer and i heard that it puts to much stress on the axle? so if you could tell me some facts or some personal experiences that you have had i would appreciate it.

Also what brands to look into or stay away from

At first I thought that was a pot leaf on your gas filler door.

you're gonna hear varying opinions with good arguing points on each side of the discussion.

as far as i know, as long as you keep an eye on them and make sure the bolts don't back out at all you will be fine. i know people who have beat the **** out of their vehicles with wheel spacers and not had a problem. shoot, my friends 300+Awhp sti runs wheel spacers to push the stock BBS's out a good 1.25 inches and he launches that thing hard and has no problems.

Yes, plus anything aftermarket will probably look better than those stockers

I have the same wheels. I'm gettin antsy about new wheels. I will probably get some with 3.75" backspacing so they stick out a little more

DO you know the stock spacing to have an idea of how much more to look for in my next set of rims?

for ur purpose, id say buy some steelies.

otherwise i dont have anything against spacers. infact, im running em all around on both my trucks.

infact i was surprised at how even though my totalled truck hit a curb and broke an axle shaft...the spacer is still in perfect condition...now its not like im gunna reuse that one, BUT...it did hold up and surprised the hell out of me.

^ Agreed. I'd buy some steelies but I've also run spacers before with no issues!
