spring questions.
spring questions.
1994 extended cab short bed 4.0 auto 4x4. front end sags when backing up to the point where the tires contact the fenders. springs are worn. with 205k on the truck would 2 inch lift springs in the front cause the front end to sit higher? after i drive forward the front end comes back up. at ride height with the bed unloaded the *** end sits 3 inches higher. with new 2 inch springs will it level or because the springs are stiff will it be to high? my local auto parts store told me to use heavy duty springs up front for a snow plow package it it would sit level. i don't want to sacrifice ride quality. skyjacker has lift springs with the alignment bushings that are supposed to be factory ride quality. the alignment after spring replacement is no problem as i am ase certified master tech. i just don't know how much taller springs i should ad.
i want to lift the front. i was more asking if i put in 2 inch springs, if the front would sit higher then the rear. right now the rear sits about 3 inches higher then the front. i was more concerned that with 2 inch lift springs that it would actually raise the front more then 2 inches. when i put in 3.5 inch lift springs in a friends wrangler it lifted the jeep approx 5 inches higher then it was. i just dont want the front end coming up 4 inches on me lol. i was wondering if anyone has just put in springs before and had no problems with it sitting level.
2in lift springs might lift the front end a little more at first. But I'm sure they will settle out after awhile. If not, you could always grab a lift block from the JY for a couple bucks to level it or Expo leafs like Me and StrangerRanger did!
Ya i decided to just go for it. hey what's the worst that can happen it makes my 31's look small and i have to get bigger tires?? i ordered a set of skyjackers from 4wheel parts today. hopefully they'll be in before the weekend.
