Superlift question... yea again lol

Ok so heres the deal, soon i want to order the superlift kit... however im just going to order the front kit, and do my own thing with the rear.

I Plan on running 33's FOR A BIT, and when i get enough cash.. get 35's and new gears. Sooooo, in that time im running 33's, i want to do the superlift up front, and decrank the bars so its maybe a 2-3 inch lift instead of the full 4 everybody seems to claim you can get, and i want a decent ride, and so it will not look silly with 33's.

My question is, what should i do to level out the rear to the front? I have stock blocks, and just have shackles in the back, would an AAL do the trick? or should i just go to the junkers and pick up some PRE-BLOCKS (older ranger blocks, the 2" ones?) I shouldnt need much of a lift in the rear so i was thinkign either just do the AAL or do the blocks.. then when i can afford 35's and gears i will crank up the front bars, and throw either the block or AAL (whatever one i dont get to use with my 33's setup) to level out the rear.

I know its kind of confusing.. but basically to sum it up, I want to do the superlift kit, only gain a few inches in the front with it and decrank my bars to help the ride, and lift it only as high as it doesnt look retarted with 33's.. FOR NOW. Just need ideas, and part numbers for the rear!!

Any help would be great

I'd get stock 2" blocks. An AAL will make it ride stiffer.

Yeah, that would be my choice, but it's not an option. He would need to keep the Belltech shackles or stock block though. Skyjacker leaf springs are nice too.

Yeah id love to do the skyjacker leaf springs, definately going to swap to those when i get my 35s and crank up my bars. So your thinking the 2" blocks and belltech shackles would be best bet? i guess i really only need another inch or so in the rear for how high i want to lift the front

If you don't get lift leaf springs then probably. The problem with lift shackles is that they tend to cause the tires to rub the front of the fender when you flex out the rear. Blocks aren't the best choice either. You don't have much choice though. So, yes, I'd probably go with 2" or 2.5" stock blocks and Belltech shackles.

Yeah, there are many options. The problem with an AAL is that they tend to make the ride stiffer, which is the last thing you want with a Ranger. There just isn't enough weight back there. At least blocks or shackles don't affect the ride quality. Each option has its drawbacks.

If you decide to go with the 2.5 in stock block I would be happy to take your stock 1.5s off your hands if your interested.

No... it's a 4" lift. He's just planning on un-cranking his bars 2" when he puts it on.

Since your build will be just like my truck all you will need in the back is chevy drop shackles with the factory block.

I used 6400 shackles and Procomp short AAL. It sits dead on level as my bars are not cranked whatsoever.

I recommend running expo leafs and a 6400, with no block.... No block = no axle wrap = preferred.

Just curious what is the price difference of a superlift front end kit only compared to the entire kit?
