Suspension bumpstop

04 Edge 2WD 135K with torsion bar suspension. Ride has always been rough so I have given up on improving that.
Front shocks are new but rest looks to be original parts.
When working on other issues on the truck I noticed the control arms are really close to bumpstops , there is only about 1" of movement before hitting the stop.
Is this normal? Or is what appears to be minor rotation of the T-bar in the control arm causing this?
Truck drives straight and without major clunks.
