Suspension help needed

I drive a 2004 4.0 ford ranger 4wd and am looking to possibly lift my truck, but i keep hearing many different opinions through out the cite. The Superlift kit seems to be the only bolt on kit that is currently still in production, however nobody wants to keep their torsion bar suspension. The DBR long travel kit is too expensive as of right now, so that is out of the question. Every one that has SAS'd their truck has ended up with a good looking truck with capable suspension, but i don't have the time and definitely not the knowledge to SAS my truck. I dont do any extreme offroading but i do the get out on some trails every now and then. Does anybody have any advice as to what i should do? Preferably something that doesnt require fab work, because i am very inexperienced and do not have the tools.

well you have 3 options
1. cranking your torsion bars will get you 1-2 inches of front lift only cost is that the truck will need an alignment
2. superlift kit will lift the truck 4 inches but is will cost close to $2000 and sill keeps the torsion bars
3. body lift, lifts the truck 3 inches costs under $200

If you don't do any hardcore wheeling and don't need the extra clearence from the suspension just do a BL. There $159 I believe from Summit Racing and they are not hard to put on and will give 3in of lift. Cheap, easy and reliable! Plus there is loads of info in the Body Lift section with how to put it on, best brand, etc.

That would be ideal, but is there any coil over conversion kit out there anymore? How would you suggest doing it? Thanks for the input btw.
