unless you plan on jumping it a whole lot, or racing... theres really no problem with a body lift...
i have had a year of beating my truck up offroad and the body lift has caused me no problems, its actually saved my rocker panels a few times i think

if your not gonna install it yourself. go to MODS UNLIMITED or TRUCK & TRAILER USA... mods does good work, but they're the rudest guys you'll EVER deal with i had problems with them when they did my gears. i bought a KIT with add a leaf, spindles and NEW FABTECH SHOCKS

thats the cheapest place i found the kit.
and MODS charged me about 300 for install, cause i didnt have the time, but that doesnt include alignment($100). truck and trailer will align it for you.

If you're an EDGE you should have torsion bars, not coils. (that means 2" of lift costing only the time it takes to crank the pre-load bolts on them)
For the rear, if you want the same rake (rear higher than the front) get short Add-A-Leafs from summitracing and Chevrolet C1500 '88-'98 2" lowering shackles, the lowering shackles actually lift the Ranger.
The rear should cost ~$90 installing yourself
The front should cost ~$350 at most installing yourself
