Time for new shocks

Well after this weekend and all the hard driving I did my shocks are f-ed, worst than that I am very low on money for the rest of the month, having said that I think I will be saving for a set of bilstein HD's for my truck.
Now that I have my rant out does anyone have any recommendations of were I can buy these shocks for cheap. I decided that I will only buy these because I want to try them. I have had great luch with the rancho's but I want to see if the bilsteins live up to their name because if they do then they are much better than the rancho. I do alot of driving on hard uneven roads and I have a lead foot so I need them as quickly as I can afford them.

is the 25% on the set or individual shock? I was looking around and it didn't go in to to much detail. so instead of it being $273 for a set its $205, if thats true I'm picking up a set by the end of the month.

if you have an advance auto parts, they are running a deal for a $80 rebate on "select" Monroe shocks. They have the Sensa-tracs at my local shop for 43 a pop. Oh, and 5qt of Mobile1 with Mobile1 filter for 30 bucks....I'm going tonight to get some for the wife's ride.

That's all my father used to put on his old 350 diesel's. Never had a problem with them.

My experiences with Monroe shocks are that they are good shocks - but you have to get the top of the line model.

My old shocks had 150,000 of use on them and they rode more comfortable than Monroes. You can feel every bump with them.

I'm running the monroe Sensa-tracs on the front of my 95 and there pretty good. To me there a little soft on the highway, but when i drive through the mountains or go off-road they feel good. At the time that was the stiffest shock that i could afford and along with the energy suspension sway bar bushing kit, my truck rides very nice. Now it feels like a truck and not like a towncar that floats on air (which i hate).

Now the KYB Excel-G shocks are a VERY soft shock and wound not recommend them.
