Torsion bar sag and aftermarket keys, not the usual questions

My gals 04 edge was just in for an allignment and to have some new tires mounted. The shop said the allignment isnt set right (camber is out of spec, negative both sides) because the torsion bar adjustment bolts are maxed on the drivers side (i think). He mentioned using aftermarket keys to back the bolts out to factory spec and then tweak for proper allignment. Before you jump down my throat about how bar they are, i know they arent much good but for a twmporary fix until the funds are available for coilovers its the only option i have.

Anyone experience this before? I dont wanna wear a new set of tires and if they work for a temporary fix im all for it. Coilovers are definatly on the list of to dos just need to save for them.

Almost cheaper to pick up a set of new "used" bars. Can get them for a decent price usually. Hell i have a set of B bars and 1 bars sitting in the garage. Also have a set of lift keys that I used for the same purpose you are wanting just sitting out there.

Would u want to sell the keys? Allignment shop said keys are easier to install and i dont have time to do it so thats what we decided on. She doesnt drive it to far daily so any excessive wear isnt a concern.

could do that too. That should get it close depending how far out your camber is.

They're saying that cuz they sell them. They'll make a good couple bucks off you.

To get the bars out from under your truck, you need to remove the keys. It's not any harder. Once the keys (stock or aftermarket) are out, it's nothing to pull the bars.

I also have a set of 1's. But I'm in Canada.
