Torsion bolt removal

on my 2007 XL four wheel drive truck with 4 liter engine, after having turned the torsion bolts all the way in for a full raise, i recently decided to go completely without the lift. i have turned driver and passenger side bolts fully to the left; leaving them almost finger tight and sticking out nearly 2 inches.

I no longer want a 'lift' on the truck. --factory only using the torsion bolts and their adjusters. so im wondering, with the bolts nearly fully turned out, would there be enough 'stress' put on the bar and adjusters to keep things from 'popping out' from like driving over speed humps or slight bumps in the road?? it seems from most of my google searches that it would be okay completely removing the torsion bolts for regular street driving. would that be correct?

If you don't like how far the bolts stick out, just get some shorter bolts. That keeps tension on the keys, without having any lift or bolts sticking down.

I once ran lowering keys on my truck with the bolts barely even touching the keys. It felt super sketchy around turns, so I put some more cranks on the bolts and it felt a little more stable.

thank you fordzilla80. the bolts are hardly even in there. i turned them all the way out to the point of barely hanging on by a thread or two. ive done several miles of driving through several days, and no turning issues.

so, i still wonder, if i completely removed the bolts driving without any bolts in there; would there still be adequate tension on the adjusters to keep everything from popping out??
