tossing around the idea of using cylinders for the front

k, right now i have a complete air bag suspension system sitting in my garage, and i want to put it on once i finish my turbo engine. now heres my problem.

first off, instead of using airbags, has anyone used cylinders, or does anyone have any input on this idea?? reason im thinking of this is when im done with the engine i will want to race it. tru it will only be drag racing but racing none the less. so i was thinking the strut would provide me with a little bet more of sturdy ride.

also, with all the heat around the airbag on the passenger side, from the turbo and down pipe, im afraid the the heat might mess with the integrity of the bag, even though the bag is a little covered.

and lastly, form some of the pics of cylinders ive seen, it loks like the cylinders might actually be a little easier to mount.

the thing i want though is to still be able to lay frame, which i found a cylinder thts only like 8 inches when its compressed, would this be enough to still lay frame as long i try to mout it a lil higher??

i would still put the bags in the back, but i was just thinking more safety for the front. the last thing i want is for the bag to pop from being melted or something like that, that would seriously **** me off.
