I've got twin I-beams on my 96 ranger that already has a 4" suspension lift on the front. What I'm wondering is if there is any way to get 2 more inches out of the front w/out having to screw with the already new drop brackets in place.

 

no sir i dont think so the geometry in the front will be all wrong and just about hard as crap to fix...

 

actually i think there is a kit you can buy that just is a spacer between your axle and the spring .... i think its only a 1 inch ....

maybe a 2 inch ....

u could do what i did with my 88 b2 ..... it was a 4 inch lift and they gave me the 6 inch springs hahaha that was their fault but worked better in my part ...

 

You know where I could find that kit? like a wbsite? How well did that 6" springs work?

Thanks, that sure is a big help. 15 dollars for a spacer? What a deal for 1-2 inches of lift!

 

If the drop down brackets are not enough to handle 6" springs your camber will be fubar...

 

definitally.... you will need to get camber/caster shims.... i ended up having to do that .... keep that in mind ... plus the TTB is a pain to keep aligned ...

 

camber/caster shims won't correct his camber with a 4" lift and 6" springs...it'll be way off especially ttb.

 

what about 4" drop brackets, 4" srpings and 2" coil spacers, what would that do to the ability to re-align? or would you have to find someone to make 6" drop brackets?

 

Thats the exact same thing as the 4" brackets and 6" springs...dur.

 

mine aligned fine with the shims with 6 inch springs 4 inch drop brackets, and the camber/caster shims .....

 

Well hell, my old f-150 had a 6" lift and it could barely hold an alignment and it didn't have 2" bigger springs on it.

 

I've heard of LOTS of people running 4" drop brackets and 6" springs on a supercab, the extra weight does make a difference, especially on the softer skyjacker springs and it's still alignable
