only thing i can think of is take off the upper control arm, remove the zert, and angle it to get a hammer to beat it in. let me know if any of you have any tricks of the trade your willing to share.
im in the process of chaning out lower ball joints, upper control arms with the new ball joints, inner and outer tie rods, and shocks. getting new tires and ailment when done.
thanks for any help

If you got it apart I'm sure you have the pinch bolt removed. I know when I put my new upper in I had to pry the that part open just a little to get the ball joint shaft down far enout to get that bolt back in.
What's the part number of the upper control arm/ball joint that you are installing? Just wondering if it could be the wrong number that that's why it's not fitting properly.

No dirty stuff. Got it figured out. After beating the heck out of it I came up with an easier way. I took the bolts out of the upper control arm and it went right in. So on the other side I connected the spindle and upper control arm together and it all went back together flawlessly. Life lesson i guess. So I finished both sides. Lower ball joints upper control arms, inner/outer tie rods, shocks front and back. What a weekend for a first timer. At least I got tomorrow off. Good to be a state worker sometimes having all these holidays.
