Peformance Accessories for a 3" Body Lift. RCD makes a 5" suspension for your truck.

I sell the Superlift suspension packages for your truck. Contact me if you would like more information and pricing.

I think the problem is many vendors don't update their sites for updated years. Superlift has a kit for 2000-2002 Ranger 4wd, It's $1400 and some change from one of the offroad sites. RCD shows a 5" kit through 2003 4wd. I could not find a price on it.

rcd kits are only sold direct on a few sites as it requires welding. Usually you have to go to a shop to have the rcd kit put on.the superllift kit is bolt on so it is more available.

Does the kit go up to 2005?

Flyinfx4 10-10-2005 09:39 AM

No because of the bigger brakes rotors that they put on after 03 and something about the hubs i think.

zabeard 10-10-2005 09:53 AM

03+ has the bigger rotors which the rcd doesnt work on, but all you need to do is get the smaller rotors and swap them. its that easy. best thing to do is measure your rotors i think the 10.5 are the size that works and the 11.5 dont, because some 03s have the smaller rotors.

RCD is on alot of sites, so is the superlift, anyone that carries rcd or superlift can get the kit for you, you just have to ask.

the superlift is around 1400
rcd is around 2300

the superlift requires the superlift driveshaft and as far as im concered the rcd does also, this will run you somewhere around 400.

the only other thing you would need is the smaller rotor for the rcd which you can get the smaller rotors at napa for under 100.

You guys rock. Savage05, you came to the right place. Welcome to the forums.

I don't see why not, there are member that put them on ther '04. The RCD kit won't work on trucks made after March of '03. You can put it on later models, but I think a whole needs to be drilled in the someehere and smaller rortors need to be put on.

that is false my truck was made before then and it has the larger rotors. i bought mine in feb of 03.

and both kits should work fine on 05 if you do what i said is needed. im pretty sure someone already has it on an 05.

Splitfire 10-10-2005 12:48 PM

Any ranger that has pulse vacuum hubs will not work with the RCD kit, it was made for non-PVH trucks.

graniteguy 10-14-2005 07:07 PM

Hey guys. I was just reading through this and all the rotor reference seemed to apply to rcd. Is it the same case for superlift? If I go in and get new rotors, I just tell them I have a 2002 4wd? Do 2wd and 4wd use the same rotors? Thanks.

SoundPer4mance 10-14-2005 07:22 PM

wayne, 2wd and 4wd will have different rotors, if you ask for 2002 4x4 rotors you will get the smaller ones. ford changed to larger rotors for the 03+ MY 4x4 only

Lefty04LevelII 10-14-2005 09:05 PM

I'm trying to remember what RCD told me, but the only concern for their lift on 04+ is our rotor size. Everything else regarding the lift still works on us. I believe RCD told me I'd need to drop down to a 11.25 in rotor. I need to call them anyhow and double check things as my b-day is next month and I'm tired of torsion bars :scool:

graniteguy 10-14-2005 09:27 PM

If anyone knows the answer to "superlift" i would appreciate it. Just swap the rotors and it is OK?

HarryTasker 10-14-2005 09:34 PM

Wayne here is a member with an '04 and a superlift.

I haven't seen him here in a while you might be abel to track him down on genedge or ORR. I knwo he installed the kit himself so he can tell you exactly what it required.

graniteguy 10-14-2005 09:52 PM

Thanks Kyle. I just pm'd him. If he doesn't answer I will call the manfuacturer monday.

That applies, don't believe me? Buy the kit and try to install it, won't work on PVH trucks, make sure you have non-pulse vacuum hubs.

this rotor swap is NOT required or needed on the superlift... i already said what was needed. im almost 100% sure i didnt miss anything besides the pvh that trent is talking about but that is 2000 and under.

graniteguy 10-14-2005 10:13 PM

It was a little confusing to me since two different kits were being discussed. Thanks for confirming it.

zabeard 10-14-2005 10:40 PM

np

graniteguy 10-16-2005 04:48 PM

Different but related ? since the suspension masters are subscribed.

back on the brakes. You don't have to change the front rotors on an '04 4x4 to put a superlift on, but will you need to if you drop down to 15" rims? Thanks.

BILLZFX4 10-16-2005 05:10 PM

I believe that the only 15" rims that won't fit the 4x4's are the Edge plus rims. The 15" Alcoa L II's and pretty much most aftermarket 15" are o.k. If I am reading your question correctly.
