Why cant I superlift?

Alright I know that Edges and 4x4's are different than xlt's and xl's, and I have torsion bar front suspension instead of coil springs. I also know that to lift my front end I have to use spindle lift instead of a super lift.

My question is, if a 4x4 can superlift then why cant i?

Basically from what I can tell from superlifts I have seen, its basically a frame extension that lowers the mounting point for the lower arms(correct me here if I am wrong).

Is it just cheaper/easier to use a spindle lift, and its the other way than I think , in that you cannot spindle lift a 4x4? If you lifted gurus can clear this up some with a better explanation I would appreciate it!

you can't spindle lift a 4x4 because there is no way for your cv to be connected.

I don't see why you couldn't superlift a 2wd but that would just be silly to spend twice as much on a lift

You cannot lift the front of your 2wd truck with the Superlift Kit. The steering knuckle I believe is different as well as some other things Im sure (havent spend enough time under a 2wd torsion set up to tell you for sure). Also, the superlift kit is going to have a whole bunch of parts that you wont need such as the brackets to lower the front differential / axle.

Basically, why would you want to spend $1500 or more when you can simply throw some lift spindles on for a couple hundred?

I would say an average price on a new superlift kit is closer to $1800.... checking Waynes prices on www.stuffforyourranger.com

the only problem with 4wp is if they have it in stock or not. You might buy it then not get it for 3 months or so

let us know how your experience with 4WP goes... especially when buying ANYTHING for a Ranger. Seriously, those guys are idiots and there are countless members on here that have had problems with them.

I doubt your going to save $500 on a Superlift kit anyway. Thats less than the wholesale price!
