Will 4x4 lower ball joints fit on a 2wd?

Will 4x4 lower ball joints fit on a 2wd?

found these on ebay:

Yes, they are the same.

For Edge 4x2 and and all 4x4 they are also the same on the uppers -- but the 4x2 non-Edge have different upper arms.

speaking of ball joints, my friend has a 1999 xlt 4x4 with broken ball joints and he has a 1994 xlt 4x4. will the ball joints off of the 94 fit on the 99?

Not a chance. 1994 is a TTB and the 1999 is IFS. No commonality in those I don't believe.

Any difference to justify the higher cost? and about how much would pepboys or a dealer want? Also, I dont have an edge, I have an XL.

Greasable ones will last longer. Now, that last link is a very good deal. You're getting 2 Moog greasable joints for about $30 including the shipping -- man, that's an outstanding price.

2 greasable ball joints at the auto parts store will run you about $50, about like the first pair.

The other ones you posted are OEM type non-greasable and they're fine but they don't last under heavy service in our trucks.

Yes, they should. It's only the upper ball joints that differ. The lower ones are the same across the different trim levels.
