worst hub seen at work

Had a Ram 1500 come into the shop for a front hub. Boy it was horrible. after taking the axle nut off the hub just kinda fell out. then taking the 3 bolts out the bearing would not come out of the knuckle. nor me or 3 other techs could get the damn thing out. we ended up cutting it out. also did the axle cuz it was destryed. the axle was rubbing all three bolts that was a nightmare getting them out. made a vid b4 i took the wheel off.

Very True. I worked at a Chrysler dealer and I would never buy one. It lowered my outlook on Chrysler .

I surprised you couldn't just pull the whole wheel off by hand, hub and all HAHA.

The 02-03 Ford Explorer IRS and 9?+ Chrysler IFS are the most dangerous hazards on any modern vehicle without a doubt.

Bad time for front hubs i guess . I had a International 4300 last night at work w/ an abs light, code was for too large an air gap. I jacked it up and the wheel did the same as yopur video. Was run out of oil, probably a leaking wheel seal as well. Only thing holding it on is the bearings melted to the spindle, its kind of amazing its still spinning at all. My companies damn lucky it didnt fall off down the road.
