Would like this clarified....

Searching here hasn't gotten me the answer I was hoping to find....

Fabtech spindle lift kit for an '01+ Edge.....

Says this....

"Use 32/11.50R15 tire w/15x7 wheels w/3 3/4" BS w/minor trimming"

Dealer who I may buy through says this....

"yes with the Fabtech Kit you can only run rims with a 15x7 wheel and 3 3/4" back spacing. Due to the shape of the spindles those are one of the only sets of rims which will work. Torsion bar suspensions are hard to make a Spindle work in a way that you don't need new rims and tires for them. "...

and this....which makes this more confusing....

"you can use any rims you would like as long as the back spacing is at least 3.75"..."

John? Help here? Anyone???

PS------> Plan is to run 15x10's and 33x12.50x15's.....hence the questions...

If your plan is still on schedule, you won't have a problem with 15*10 and that size tire! I'm pretty sure you can't run on stock rims anyways with fabtech with how much it sticks out then what ProComp has to offer for keeping stock rims. You'll be fine with the 15*10, don't worry

Dealer is full of it, and Fabtech lists that as only a recommendation so if something happens with bigger tires on they can't be in any way responsible. There's people on here running as big as a 15x10 rim with 35's even on a spindle lift with no problems except some minor trimming needed.

well part of what they are saying is true. you cant run stock wheels at all. BUT you can run a 15x8 with over 3.75"BS just fine NOW you can fit a 33" tire fine with spindles. but i wonder if 15x10 will even work because you need that magical 3.75"BS and most 15x10 rims are 4". so here is the low down i do beleave you can run a bigger offset with the doetch or procomp spindles. i would stick with those 2 and thne get the 15x10's you should have no problems at all. fabs also have a very anoying thing of they make your front track width wider then the rear so it looks silly and alot of guys used to run spacers on the back to make it even. hope this helps

I'm doing research on all this, I'll add that into the emails i sent out. I'm going to post it as soon as I get enough info including online dealer prices since no one local sells any off road equip. Good point to bring up, though.

My wheels are 15x8, 3.25" backspaced, and I'm using Doetsch spindles, for whatever that contributes. I don't know enough about the Fabtech ones to speak authoritatively.

UPDATE----->

Talked more in depth with someone who deals with Fabtech stuff, he says you can get whatever rim you want, providing it's the correct backspacing of 3-3/4", which now opens up a lot more choices than what I was lead to believe.

I appreciate all your opinions on this so far, it really helps!
