i ordered a new driver side torsion bar for my edge the other day, took the old one out and was about to put the new one in when i realized that the new one is 1 inch longer than the old one.....so my question is can i still use it? it sticks out the front about 1/2 inch or less...but will it be safe....and y is it longer in the first place

 

you must of orderd the wrong side. The passenger and drivers side bars are different. one is a bit larger than the other.
