on January 29, at approximately 5:30, i was out on a date, and hit a patch of black ice. rolled my ranger completely over, landed in a ditch right side up. date and i are both fine. no injuries except my pride. truck stayed running the entire time, and runs and drives still. but i messed up the body pretty well. i believe it can be fixed, but do you guys think it's worth fixing? or should i just knock the cab out and drop a window in it and let it ride? opinions welcome, and i've heard enough that i shouldn't have been out in the bad weather.
That's a hell of a story to tell the grandkids. Was she understanding or does she never wanna see you again?
As for the truck. Have a shop make sure the frame is good, if it is it might be cheaper to get a cab and swap it over. I hope you didn't let the motor run too long upsidesown as there would be no oil in the bottom end.

oh my, no, it landed right side up. yes, she is still with me. truck still runs and drives, so i plan to fix her up. Frame was examined, all there and all good. i had considered a one-off truggy. cut the roof off behind the windshield and make it convertible. i don't know how hard a cab swap would be. i'd have to gut the interior and all that.
do you have more pictures of the cab damage . the fender is easily replaced . as for the cab ,without seeing more ,you might be able to cut out the damaged area and weld in a replacement panel from a wreck . it would a fair bit of work but you wouldnt have to replace the whole cab ,
