08 4x4 Wheel Sizing
08 4x4 Wheel Sizing
Hey guys,
First time poster here, thanks for having me. I have a question about wheel sizing on my 08 4.0L XLT 4x4 and I hope someone on here has the answer. What's the lowest offset I can run before I get any rubbing, even on sharper turns?
I have the stock 16x7 rims right now with a set of 245/70R16 (29.5x9.6) tires but I'm going to be buying a set of 16x8 rims so I can fit a set of 285/75R16 (32.8x11.2) Duratracs on them. I know that going from a 245/70 to a 285/75 will give me a wider stance already, but I'd like the edge of my tires to be at least flush with my fender flares without using spacers.
I'm doing a 2" rear lift using longer shackles, and a 3" torsion bar crank to level it out in a week or two. Hoping that's enough.
Thanks in advance for the replies,
Aaron
