14's to 15's

Hey guys, I just recently bought a 99 2WD XL Ranger. Its got a 3.0, Auto, 3.73 Trac-Lok rear. It has 205/75/14 tires and they are really tiny lol. It actually seems to have quite a bit of room for bigger tires, more so then I would have thought for a 2WD. Anyways, I was looking at some 15in steel wheels so I can get some bigger A/T tires. I was just wondering what width and backspacing you guys would reccomend as well as the tire size. I was thinking maybe a 7in wide wheel with a 225/75/15 tire? Let me know what you think. Thanks!

Wouldn't a set of 15 inch Ranger wheels/rims be fine as is? They are already 5x4.5 and you will know that will already fit your truck. A set of 15 inch Alcoas would be fine looking IMO.

Yeah, I just switched over to my studded winters on my 1996 Mazda 4x2.....205/75-14 look wimpy (vs. 27x8.5-14 BFG AT). Stock is 225/70-14.

Actually a set of stock 15 inch Ranger wheels would be just fine but I havent been able to find a set locally and I have had really bad luck buying used parts off the internet.

I would go with a 3.75 to 4 inch backspacing
