1997 Ranger XLT Tire Size

Hey There,

I've got a 2wd 97 XLT regular cab. She takes a stock 225/70/R14. I'm wondering what my options are as far as tires - the stock tire is pretty tough to find. Would a 15 inch wheel be ok? Tore out the sidewall on my front right tire yesterday, so any help is appreciated.

Joe

There's a fair bit of room in those wheel wells. My old '97 came with 235/60R15s but I had 235/75R15s on it.

And all of those sizes should be fine on the gears?

here, use this. type in the stock size you had, and take the ones others have given you and see what is relatively close to the same height. width is up to you...
this way your speedo will stay close to calibration and you wont need to regear.
