Hello I have a 2005 ranger supercab stepside bed and it's 4x4 my question is is it normal for there to be a kind of rubber wheel spacer thing stuck to my rims I have owned other rangers and none of them have it I think they might be why my truck shakes at high speed any info is appreciated thanks

 

Is it a hub centering ring?

It's not a hub centering ring its like a cone that sticks out from the rim about 4 inches made of a kind of rubber

 

I'm not sure what it is, but I wouldn't want anything made of rubber between the wheel and the mounting surface.

It very well could be what is causing the shaking.

 

Yea I find it wierd but it's the stock rims that came on it but I can't find anything online about them
