2022 maverick wheel fitment
Hey all I’m new to the forum and haven’t explored around a whole lot. I was wondering if anyone out there has ever fit 2022 Ford maverick steel wheels on a 1996 or newer 2wd Ford Ranger before? If so how did you go about it and what all obstacles did you run into? Thanks in advance

I'd be surprised if they have. Those of us repairing, restoring, and maintaining these trucks tend to be somewhat of a frugal bunch. That means buying cheap parts and scrounging classifieds and wrecking yards. The Maverick is still a little new for much cheap stuff to be hitting the classifieds and wrecking yards. Having said that here are a few issues you will encounter:
1) lug pattern
Now if you're set on getting a set of steel wheels for your Ranger I have a better sugestion and they shouldn't be that difficult to find for cheap. Crown Vic police car wheels. 2009+ with steel wheels were 17", and there were a lot of them built with many having been retired and/or reached the junkyard.
1) The lug pattern, 5x4.5 (5x114.3), matches so adapter/spacers are easy to find.
2) Center bore diameter is the same size, 70.5 mm, so there is no concern about fitment over the spindle.
3) Still going to need an adapter/spacer since the offset difference is about 30mm. You'll probably want around a 1.5" spacer, but IMO thicker is better since it will allow for a bolt on spacer instead of a slip on and having to run extra long studs.
1) lug pattern
- Ranger is 5x4.5 (5x114.3)
- Maverick is 5x4.25 (5x108)
- Adapter required at minimum
- Ranger 70.5 mm and needs it due to spindle
- Maverick 63.4 mm diameter
- Bore too small. Might be able to make it work if the previously mentioned adapter is thick enough, but I wouldn't count on it without a lot of careful measuring.
- Ranger about 13mm
- Maverick about 38 mm
- 38 mm - 13 mm = 25 mm
- Will need a spacer adapter in the neighborhood of 25 mm or 1 inch thick at minimum.
