305/70R16 on stock wheels??

Can I run a 305/70R16 on my stock 5 spoke FX4 wheels or would I be better off running a 285/75R16 instead? Would rubbing be an issue with the wider tire? Ill be running a 3" BL, T-bar crank and shackles.

personally.. unless you really like the fx4 wheels.. i would opt for a new set of wheels.. stock wheels dont have enough backspacing to push the fatter tires out (which looks 100x better imo)

my two cents..

although im pretty sure 305s and a bl on stock would be fine.. Dallyboy09 has a similar setup..

WIth at T-bar crank and BL you should be fine with no rubbing. I know guys that run 285's w/o a BL and only a T-bar crank. But I am not sure about the 305's on stockers. The width of the tire may be to big for 7". I think you'd be better off with an 8" tire.

I would get a new wheel. Those are wide tires and putting them on a 7in rim "might" cause wearing issues.

Thats kinda what I figured. I would probably be better off just going with a 15x8 and I'd save some money in the long run on tires.

Would a 15x8 with a -6mm offset cause any rubbing or problems. I found that normal offset on that size wheel is -19mm. Just curious I found a good deal on a set of aluminums.
