30's on stock 89 ranger xlt

I'm planning on buying some 15" rims and mounting 30" BFGoodrich all-terrains on them. will they fit on my stock 89 ranger without rubbing? I'm planning on getting a liftkit soon, but I really need new tires now. I don't plan on off-roading until I get the lift.

I think they will fit but they might rub on sharp turns until you lift it.

what are bump stops? I saw some at pep boys the other day and if I do get these tires on will they help prevent rubbing?

Get some coil spacers. Daystar is a good manufacturer of these. They are cheap too, maybe 30-40 bucks for 1-3/4" spacers. That will level out your ride also. But if you are dead set on trimming, check the exterior forum i posted in your thread there.
