33s w/ bdy lft & T-key crank?

Ive got a 2002 Edge 2wd, and i want to get some size. My idea is to go 16x10 rims and 33's. For the lift i was thinking 3 inch body and crank up the torsion bars..... is this going to be enough? Will it rub?

16 x 10 x 33 - rubbing likely unless the BS is spot on

it is fine with a body lift but why use a body lift you are a 2wd run Spindles instead do a search on it and you will find alot of info

btw its cool you want 16x10 but the price on the wheels and the price of tires dont its not worth it there bloody expansive just run 15x10 and 33x12.5x15

which ever lift you choose 33's will fit fine. I am not sure how much a spindle lift cost but for $300 a BL is cheap.

Ben a spindle you pay a little more but looks 100000000000X better then a body would ever want to look

Ditch the 16x10 idea, tires are too expensive, compared to 15" tires.

Complete set of spindles with AAL in the rear, will run you about $500-700 and a BL will run you $159-199.

Why would spindles be so much better than a body lift for 2wd's?
Just looks? How does it look so much different?

did a search on spindles and didn't find anything helpful

Well, I already have the 33's. X terrains in a 16... so the pricey tire part isnt an issue. Are spindles difficult to install? I would be doing the body lift myself (4th time) but ive never installed spindles... is this a big deal?

I went toa couple of local shops today... and they both said there is no way i will clear 33's with just a body lift and keys. Infact they told me i would have to spindle lift and body lift to clear. Im not discrediting you guys, but why are the shops so negative about it working?... Please advise!

probably cause they want you to spend more money.. now were these mechanic shops or places like jiffy-lube, cause depending on that they're trying to drain your money

yeah your probably right. do you think i would have to cut some fender if i just had a 3" spindle lift and crank the t-bars with 33" tires with 16x10 rims?

not the fender, you might have to cut a notch in the plastic bumper valence though. Spindles & blocks are much easier to install than a body lift, at least on our trucks..
