Need some help deciding
I need some help with my decision. Price difference should be kept in mind
BFG A/T KO's 33/12.50/15
Buckshot Mudders 33/12.5/15
Which will do better in the rain/dirt/LIGHT MUD
I usually go down dirt trails, light mud (i'm 2wd...come on ), and I do drive in the rain quite a bit.
I am HEAVILY leaning towards the mudders b/c they are siped IIRC and they will help in the mud. Plus I belive they last longer...I just need clarification of that!
Edit: forget the generals

I dunno, i've heard bfg a/t's are the "best" in sand, rain, and road. I just need some backing up on that statement.
I know they are better for sand, which I don't hit THAT often...although I do go through it. Rain and road...thats like 99 percent for me....I need a tire thats awesome on road and rain but still REALLY capable offroad.
I'm leaning towards the BFG's for some reason, but I LOVE the way the buckshots looks, and IIRC the buckshots are supposed to be good in the rain!

I just was wondering how buckshots do in the rain more or less, I know they suck in sand (which might be a problem)
I found BFG's for 134 a tire at sams...I wonder how much mount/balance would be?

the BFG's will last A LOT longer, I got 80K miles out of a set without rotating or anything... so for the extra money you pay up fromt you will get probly double the mileage out of them. and they are really great on the street and in rain and snow and ice. they ride very quiet and are smooth and comfortable.

If you are looking for rain traction, sand traction and light mud then go with the BFG. I can say that the Buckshots are not very good in the rain, I can turn the 35s over pretty easy, and as far as them being siped, I aint so sure about that, the lugs on the tires are all flat except for the inside and outside lugs which have one hole in them and thats it. I would go with the BFG A/T myself for 33s, I never had an issue with them.

So bfg's i'll try
they seem like an awesome tire...I just dunno about the price
I'm not really TOO worried about wear b/c when they get low enough I'm buying new ones. I just can't have a tire thats horrible in the rain and everything. although I do love the way the buckshot looks...the bfg may be my buy...it should look good

The TrXuS M/Ts are siped. They should be just as good in tread life as the Buckshots. Only thing is they have only blackwalls. No whitewalls. but since my truck is black i didn't care. I'm thinkin about buying 15x8 rockcrawlers, 35" TrXuS M/Ts and an add-a-leaf for my rear. Run the nice AR Rims in the Summer and the Black ones in the winter. Plus 35s pwn hehe
Anyway you go really you got yourelf a good tire. Good Luck and post lots of pics of your lift progress

Alright, I'm still having trouble deciding.
Buckshots are pretty decently priced, and have awesome off road traction (which is what I need)
I'm not really concerned about on-road driving as much...I just need a tire that won't send me hydroplaning.
Is the buckshot really that bad in water? Will I start to slide around and such?
I just can't get over how the buckshot looks and acts off road. I really want a mud terrain and I can't see getting an A/T to be dissapointed by its off road capability.
I'm not worried that much about the longevity of the tires...if I get 30k miles out of em, I'll be happy...by then I'll probably be looking for new tires anyway (BL and 35's).
So my question now...for all the guys with buckshots, is just how bad are they in the rain? Will I be sliding all over the place or what?
I know they are really good off road, thats what I'm more concerned with now. As long as I don't slide off the road and hydroplane...I think I'm getting the buckshots. Then later on, I think maybe if I really dislike the buckshots I'll get A/T's...I'm just not an A/T type of guy!
I love how an MT performs and looks!
