Rim/tire question

yeah i ended up picking the 33 bfg mt's from craigs

they are on some random jeep wheels with like 5.25 inch backspacing

CAN i just put the rim on backwards?

or is that just way wrong to do with a rim? idk if it would mess up balancing stuff or not.

they fit in there, but the front is really tight on the suspension stuff because of the huge backspacing on the rims.

No, seats are tapered for the lug nuts...and there is a mounting part of the wheel designed to sit flush against the hub.

That would deffinitly not be safe at all. Wheels are only made to go on one way.

That's a really bad idea, but I bet it's been tried and failed

Definitely not a good idea even if it could be done. In other words, don't try it.

ha yeah thats why i'd ask on here instead of just doing it.

now here is REAL question that i searched for.

what backspacing would i need for a 15x8 rim with 33x12.5 tires

with a STEPSIDE with no flares? to sit close to flush or barely sticking out?

same as any ranger....3.5-4.5" BS. 4" is just barely sticking out of the flareless truck. About an inch sticking out. See: pics of DisturbedESV's truck. 15x8 w/ 4" bs with 12.50's on flareless truck.

okay i just didn't want to get rims and have it stick out Way to far, or have it not stick out at all. so i should be fine with going with a 3.75 or 4''

they are "on" the truck :) haha

i had to help my sister move, so i had all 4 tires in my bed, a grill on the cargo hitch carrier, and a trailer full of her massive cali king bed + a shelf. haha

when i put them on my truck it was dark out, and the backspacing is like 5.25 on these rims so it rubs otherwise i'd be rocking them stock right now. ha

I am running 4” BS w/ 16” rims and 33” tires.
All is OK except when I so a real tight turn I can hear a little dragging not enough to even be concerned about but something to mention.
