Another ? about tire size

I hate to start another thread on tire size, but I've searched and read and can't find the answers I'm looking for. First, what is the biggest tire you can go on stock rims (15X7 I believe)? Second, if I go with a 15X8 rim, how big can I go without rubbing? or what is going to be safe and still look good? Third, how do you crank your torrsion bars if need to fit larger tires?
Oh yeah, I have an 05 Edge 4X2 reg cab on stock susp. and I'd be looking at buying BFG AT tires. Thanks in advance.

You probably shouldn't go beyond 31x10.5x15 (or it's metric equivlalent).

Even then, the 15x7 rim "pinches" the sidewalls in and bows the tread, causing excessive center wear and encourages cupping. You're better off with the 31's on 15x8. 32's will fit also, and Neil has put 33x10.5x15 on without a t-bar crank.

31's are factory fit on Rangers for some models.

t-bar cranking has been covered again and again -- do a search of the board and I'm sure you'll find something, lol.
