Black wheels

Do you guys think these wheels would look good on my white edge with maxxis buckshots? http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

x10 on that, you'll spend just as much money trying to balance them/replace them (if they are out of round, or too hard to balance) as if you were to buy some nicer rims.

Look at the MT Classics II's, or if you like them DC1's, or Eagle Alloy's. Can't go wrong with an alloy wheel. And whoever you buy from (summit, 4wp), just call in your order and request that the wheels be spun and make sure they are not out of round, out of balance, etc. A good alloy wheel should spin 0-0...if it doesn't...well you can eliminate the problem at the source. Most shops will do it for cheap or free...they usually don't mind.

+1

Why not just get some m/t classics? spend a couple bucks more(literally) on the wheels and save yourself the hassle of balancing. They'll look hella better. I think black rims only look good on black and darker gray vehicles.*shudders*

I want pics cause Im thinking of doing black!

Idk after reading this thread and the comments on how hard those wheels are to balance I might go with MT II.....I do like the look of the black tho. Makes it look so hardcore offroad! weird I know!

I like black rims......of course I have black rims.

I've never seen black rims on a white truck, but It looks odd in my head. My reasoning for black rims is to black out the truck, which is my goal. I like the road warrior look, no chrome, no shiny things......just makes it look more badass.

well see I agree about the "blacking out" but on a white truck, I am picturing it as looking rugid! (if that makes sense) Oh well. Im going with aluminum anyways!

yes black rims are nice on a white truck there is a white edge around my town with one. but I own them there such a pain to balance and you always still get vibration, and also the so freaking heavy

If you want black & want to stay away from steel go with maybe Victory Wheels.

wow Im glad you posted that. As mean as this might come out, I think my truck would look hella better with black rims than that truck for multiple reasons. People have started talking me out of the steelies.

What is the difference between any other brand and Victory???

I got 1 bent badly...the others are ok.

They do have a rep. of being hard to balance...especially with big tires.

They are VERY heavy for a wheel and hard to balance on the road force balancer (hunter) (I would know, I got it done like 5 x...still had vibration)

I still have a bit of vibration...after all that i've done
