33" tire

Hello,

I know this has been asked a lot, even by me but now is the time i need new tires for my truck. I want to go with 33's and nothing lower. I have been calling tire shops around my area today and they keep telling me 33's will probably not fit stock. I have a 2005 ranger edge with 16x8 rims and max torsion crank. I also have 1.5" wheel spacers for my front wheels if that makes a difference.. So my question is will 33's fit on my truck the way it currently is? I need to know because i will be buying tires ASAP.

Most of all the tire shops are telling me i need to purchase the tires first and if they don't fit them im out a good amount of money. I would think they would be more helpful but i guess they don't want to tell me they will fit, then have issues.. If anyone could clear this up it would be WONDERFUL

I have already cranked my torsion bars basically all the way. I have yet to put on my wheel spacers so I will leave those out for now and most likely sell them. Isn't 285/75/16 a 31"?

Oh and just in case you ever go to a 15" rim, you can clear 33x12.50" tires with minimal rubbing at full lock.

4x4 trucks are bigger than 2x4 trucks but since you have an edge i guess they have the suspension heights of a 4x4.

Not to rain on your parade but Nitto Terra Grapplers are the same as the Toyo OC's and they cost about $600.

Haha well if you were going to pay $785 then I guess it was worth the extra $15 to get them by tomorrow. I ordered my tires off Discount Tire and they were at my door in about 4 days. Paid $615 for them. It would've been $605 but I bought valve stems.

Nice I would of purchased online also but I need them really as soon as possible. I thank you for pointing out the terra grappler and open country is the same tire, basically. I would never of known. Even that being the case I bet the Toyo open country is a better tire. Anyways I'm excited
