Here's my dilemma. If I want to put on a suspension lift or at least a leveling kit on my Ranger, the tires that would go underneath the Ranger would at least be a 6-Ply tire or higher. Will that not make the Ranger ride bumpy as hell? I currently have 4-Ply tires on the Ranger at the moment and the ride is sweet. However if I just did the leveling kit, I could place 285/75/16's under the truck. However I cannot find anybody that makes that size of tire in a 4-Ply at least to my knowledge. So in question to you guys out there that run big tires, was there a significant difference in changing from a 4-Ply to a 6-Ply or above? Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

stiffer

In my experience, yes, the heavy duty tires have a MUCH stiffer sidewall and will tend to ride rough. I run as low air pressure as possible to minimize the effect.
