DOT approved Beadlocks on Xtreme 4x4
DOT approved Beadlocks on Xtreme 4x4
Anyone else see Xtreme 4x4 today? They showed the first ever production "prototype" DOT approved beadlocks made by TrailReady. I looked on TR's website, but because this is a prototype they are not on there yet.
BUT it's good news, and I bet other companies will also start making REAL beadlocks that are "airdownable but balanceable".
Bet the first few on the market will cost some $$$!!!

theres already a set of DOT approved beadlocks....
well they arent "ILLEGAL" per se, none are DOT approved which some say equals illegal which is hokey. basically since beadlock bolts need occasional retightening, they can be considered a safety hazard, and a cop could maybe give you a ticket, assuming he knows what they are. the ticket would just fall under "unsafe equipment" or some sh*t like that.
but they arent specifically illegal, as in those no traffic law that says specifically you cant have them in most places. california might have such a specific law, but colorado does not...
