Dunlop 33" Mudders
Dunlop 33" Mudders
I was going to pick up some BFG Mudders 33x12.5x15s when I met a guy with a bad *** prerunnered ranger. He had the same tires I was going to get but he had dunlops. He said he loved the tires and that they were great, but he had never had BFGs before and couldnt compare which he liked more. If I can save a few bucks getting Dunlops id like to, unless it wont be worth it in the long run.

Dunlop Mud Rovers = Junk
I had a set and the rear two had a bulge, the radial belts separated/tore. Mind you, this was within 10k miles.
Go with Kumho Venture M/T's if you want a quality mud tire while saving some cash. They're even cheaper than the Dunlops and I've had nothing but good luck with them.

x2!!!
they're junk...kuhmo's are your best bet for economy mud tires
I konw a guy with those tires on a zuk and he went through the same thing everyone else did and he was one the only one to get a side wall cut... Sure it may have been chance, but when you buy Dunlops, think of track racing, not mud...
You can actually see it on trucks which have them mounted: at full pressure the sidewall really bulge. I considered them at one time but I'm glad I didn't purchase them.
BFG's M/T's and Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ's both have true 3-ply sidewalls -- still too rare in a load range C tire. I bought the MTZ's to try them and really like them so far (in 35" size) but they're too new for me to tell you they're good long term. Should be some online reviews you can lookup if they interest you. They were $182 apiece (in 35's, 33's would be cheaper) including shipping from Summit Racing.

Its a semi-show truck. it will be prerunnered with the prerunner light racks and front/rear bumpers, + its bright yellow, the concept is to have a nice looking truck that when people drive by they are like "that truck is sick" and then see my logo running down the side from the fenders to the bedsides. Ill be doing some offroading but not alot.
Well I have a tire guy out here ive known for a while, I can get 5 BGF Mudders (33x12.5x15) + 5 RockKrawler Beadlock Rims for $899, everything brand new, he just gives me a good deal cuz we've done alot of busniness with him.
I think the verdict is in...
Even if your truck is gonna be a street queen, you want a truck that has nasty bulges on the side of the tires? You wanna feel the entire truck wobble because of those sidewall separations? Think about it bro.

Haha, it wont be a street queen, maybe a dirt/desert/race track queen but it still needs to handle some punishment in the dirt. Im going to stay with BFGs, the Prerunner kit is decent so I wont be Mobbing off of dunes in Glamis but it will still hold up well on trails. Thanks all.
