Dyna Beads

I saw this in Johns thread and was wondering if these are for anyone? Or just people who offroad? I am still having a problem with my stickons and have a bad vibration as well.

Read about it there -- much easier than explaining it.

Too many people I've talked to have used them and gotten great results for me to ignore them so I'm trying them to make this expensive set of tires last as long as possible.

I don't see my tire size listed? Should I assume they will not work?
My tire size is 255x50x17

You can do it by weight, I'm told. Find your tire weight out and find a tire that ranges in that weight. That should give you a good place to start I would think.

Wow, that's an interesting size, I don't think I've heard of that size, but it's about a 27" tire isn't it?...though pretty wide...

I'd definitely do it by weight I think.

Actually, my previous post may be bad advice: Innovative Balancing requests that you email them for advice on sizes not listed in their charts. That's probably the best idea, Clay.

I've heard you can do it with airsoft beads as well.

Yes, I think the issue is size of the beads and material. Innovative Balancing claims their ceramic is high density (meaning less material to install) and smaller (allowing insertion through the valve stem) and non-reactive (meaning they don't break down from moisture and oxidation).

I found several articles about using alternative media -- but it's not so much cheaper really.

I had them in my sig for a while. I ran them on my crappy (hard to balance) steel wheels.

They did OK. I must say that a mix of them + static balancing is awesome though!!!

I wouldn't run them again, if you were to ask me that. I like conventional balancing better, seems to be more consistent. It's the same price, but I like when the machine reads 0 and I get a smooth ride.

I may try them again, just for craps and giggles, but I am undecided at this point.

I want to eliminate all variables and try them again though. I'll probalby run them when I put on boggers...
